Sun Wood Engineered style flooring, like all engineered flooring, is a basic combination of two parts. A top layer (the hardwood itself) often referred to as a face or veneer that will be between 2 through 3 mm thick. A bonding agent is applied to adhere the top to a base layer that is composed of between 5 and 10 layers of cross grain construction plywood(s), creating a natural resistance in the top layer to contraction or expansion caused by moisture instability in the environment.
Sun Wood can cater to special and irregular custom work, but the standard manufacturing and inventories are built around the following specifications.
